Robert was born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. He was raised in Mexico with his parents, Manuel and Maria. He came to the United States and married Alicia Loera on July 16, 1988. Roberto was a hard-working man and truly enjoyed his career as a shop foreman for Sun Pacific. He loved his wife and son dearly and treasured his life with them. Robert was an excellent husband, father and friend. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria; his siblings, Francisco, Margarita, Linda and Gerardo. He is survived by his wife, Alicia and son, Robert both of Bakersfield; brothers, Juan, Javier, Alfredo and Jose; sister, Maria. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at Peters Funeral Home on Monday, October 29, 2007, at 6pm, for Roberto Eduardo Garcia, age 45, of Bakersfield, who passed away October 25, 2007, in Bakersfield. A Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated on October 30, 2007, at 10am. Father Raul Perez officiated the service and interment followed at Shafter Memorial Park.
