Roberto Arredondo Cervera, Sr. was born on July 23, 1933 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Josefina (Arredondo) and Octaviano Cervera. He settled in Delano, California in 1962 and married the love of his life Martha (Torillo). He was a winery worker for over 30 years. Roberto Cervera, Sr. was preceded in death by son, Octavio Cervera; brother, Carlos Cervera; and grandson, Johnny Garcia. He is survived by his wife Martha Cervera, daughter, Josie Cervera and six grandchildren, Kristina, Joya, Anastasia, Robert, Liliana and Angie. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 7pm at Peters Funeral Home for Roberto Arredondo Cervera, Sr., age 77, of Delano, who passed away on November 14, 2010 at his residence in Delano. Father James of Our Lady of Guadalupe will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 3-8pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco.
