ROBERT WILLIAM POZNOFF, JR. FEBRUARY 25, 1961 – AUGUST 12, 2021 Robert William Poznoff Jr. of Shafter, Ca. passed away on Thursday August 12, 2021 surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Rob was born 02/25/1961 in Bakersfield, Ca. to Robert and Lavania Poznoff. Rob graduated from Shafter High School in 1979, he then went on to Bakersfield College and later transferred to Fresno State University where he studied Agriculture Business. His education led him to the job he loved with Buttonwillow Warehouse Company, where he was employed for almost 30 years. Rob was a devoted husband, father, uncle and friend as well as a lifelong dirt bike racer. Rob was a fierce competitor in all aspects of life, whether it be in a desert race or competing in the reined cow horse arena. He was a well accomplished desert racer with many accolades including competing in the Baja 1000. Rob was very proud to have his son Robbie share his love of racing and was always by his side advising him and cheering him on at every race. He was also an avid horseman and had a love for all animals. Throughout his life Rob was always the go to guy when someone needed something worked on or fixed, whether it was at a horse show, a dirt bike race, or just a stranger in need. Rob had an amazing ability to talk to anyone about anything no matter where he may be. He was happiest when he was helping others. Rob was preceded in death by his father Robert William Poznoff. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years, Julie Poznoff and their son Robert (Robbie) John Poznoff and daughter Jolee Ann Poznoff. He is also survived by his mother Lavania Poznoff, sister Jennifer Mullen, aunt Melanie Poznoff, cousin Alan (Jerilynn) Poznoff, his nieces and nephews as well as many other family members and friends. Rob touched the lives of everyone who met him. A celebration of life will be held on September 2, 2021 at 10 am at 16620 Johnson Rd., Bakersfield Ca.
