Along with a host of extended family and many friends.
Bob was drafted into the Korean War in 1953. While he was stationed in Anchorage Alaska he made his choice to serve the Lord from his heart. He has faithfully walked in the truth as it is found in Jesus since that time. He met and married the love of his life, Barbara in 1955. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman all of his life. He hunted in the Colorado Rockies every year for over 50 years. He loved to fish recreationally and in tournaments; especially with his son Ed and later with Grandsons. His favorite hobby was restoring mustangs and other vintage cars.
Bob's work life included senior management responsibility for radar at the Palmdale Center with the Federal Aviation Administration. After retirement he became a civilian consultant at Edwards Air Force Base for fifteen years.
Bob moved to Paradise, CA to live with his Son Ed and Daughter in law Patricia until Ed's passing. Bob has lived the last 5 years with his Daughter Kimberly and Son in law Gary Hill.
Bob was a kind and deeply caring person to all who have known him. He loved God’s Servants and Friends alike and welcomed them with open arms. He loved his neighbor as himself. All of his neighbors every place he lived knew and loved him. He had a sincere love for the stranger. All were welcome in his home. Some have described him as quietly colorful and a great inspiration and example. Some have said he was still water that runs deep. He was a mentor, confidant, helper, teacher and Father to many. He will be sorely missed by all.
