Richard Mario Sordino was born in St. Claire Shores, Michigan, to Mario and Dorothy Sordino on April 27, 1941. He came to Shafter in 1962, and married Estelle Romine on June 27, 1967, in Santa Monica. Richard was proud to have served his country in the United States Marines. He lived and raised his children in Shafter, prior to moving to Bakersfield. He was a glass glazer of residential and commercial industry. Richard was preceded in death by his grandson, Ritchie Urzua. He is survived by his wife, Estelle of Bakersfield; daughters, Tonya Lynn and husband, John Mendoza of Pasadena, Texas, and Teresa Ann Romine of Frazier Park; brothers, Mario and Donald Sordino of Michigan; sister, Lydia Sordino of Michigan; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
