Richard Duaine Selvick, age 75 was born in Chicago, Illinois. The fourth of five sons born to Marvin and Dorothy Selvick. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers, Ronald, Darriell, Robert, and Gary. He will be missed by his physical and spiritual family. He was married for forty years to Sherida (Sheri). They were married on July 5, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He became a father and grandfather in one day. He loved his new family. Son, Dale Lee Harvey, daughter in law Treba, and daughter, Michelle Harvey. Eleven grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. Richard had a wonderful sense of humor, was kind, generous, and always ready to help. He was happiest with a fishing pole in his hands at Lake Isabella. He passed on his love of fishing to his grandsons each year at a boys only fishing weekend. He spent many years pulling quarters from behind ears, telling jokes, and always humming a tune. He spoke to everyone he met and never let anyone leave a stranger. Richard spent the last twenty years in real estate, the last ten as a broker of his own real estate and property management company.
