A service for Richard M. Pattillo will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 16 at Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel in Yucca Valley, Pastor Jerel Hagerman officiating. A 27-year resident of Yucca Valley, Mr. Pattillo died Jan. 26, 2009, at home of cancer. He was 70 years old. A native and lifelong resident of California, he was born Aug. 17, 1938, to David K. Pattillo and Betty Williams Muirhead. An engraver for 40 years before his retirement, he worked with All-Rite Engraving. Mr. Pattillo is survived by his wife, Sharon Pattillo, with whom he celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 8. He also is survived by son and daughter-in-law Grant and Cheryl Pattillo of Alhambra, daughter and son-in-law Denise and Jim Drake of Las Vegas, Nev., son Roy Pattillo of White Lake, Mich., daughter and son-in-law Melanie and Brian Diebolt of Yucca Valley, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
