IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Robert
Martinez
March 22, 1933 – June 11, 2016
Richard Robert Martinez left us to join our Heavenly Father on June 11, 2016. He was born on March 22, 1933 in Wasco, Ca. where he lived his entire life. Richard attended St. John's Catholic School through the 8th grade and graduated from Wasco Union High School in 1952. He entered the U.S. Army in March of 1953 and he served until March of 1955 when he was honorably discharged at Ft. Lewis. Richard worked at Joe's Market until his retirement just a few years ago. Richard had a heart of gold, but that heart was too weak to carry him forward in this life. He had an open door policy at his home, to so many friends and family who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Maria Martinez; his sister, Rosa Martinez Wilson; his brother, Arturo Reyes; and his nephew Isaac Wilson. Surviving to mourn and forever love him are his sisters, Antonia (Toni) Martinez Wilson and Angelina Rivera; and a loving cousin whom he loved and cherished like a sister, Eva Ortiz Aguilar; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention. A viewing was held at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 2-5pm. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at St. John's Catholic Church on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 6pm. Mass was held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10am at St. John's Catholic church and interment followed at Wasco Memorial Park. Father Msgr. Frost officiated the services
