Richard Stephen Davis, commonly known as Rick, was born on October 28, 1959, in Seattle, Washington, and entered eternal peace in Heaven on December 18, 2022, in Bakersfield, California.

Rick was born the son of Richard W. Davis and Royce M. Hewitt. Rick was a widower to his beloved wife, Kelly Kay Davis. Rick is survived by his five children, Melissa Odell Braun, Charles Henry Barnes, David Lee Davis, Stacie Lynn Meek, and Tiffany Dawn Davis, and his five grandchildren Kayden Andre Howard, Sheldon James Braun, Taytum Jai Howard, Elaina Kay Davis, and Harlee Lynn Glidewell.

Rick gained his nick names of "Corvette Rick" and "Vett Man" from his long-lived passion of Corvettes, racing, and speed. Rick was an incredible husband, devoted father, world class papa, and unforgettable friend. Rick had an awe-inspiring ability to love and provide for everyone he cared about without limitations. Rick's home, heart, thoughts, and prayers remained unbreakable for his loved ones struggles, joys, and life-impacting moments. Rick was loved and cherished by so many in his community and will be forever missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Rick on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Valley Bible Church—Northwest Campus, 6228 Coffee Road, Bakersfield, California 93308. This will be followed by an old-fashion drive in night at Sonic, 1227 Olive Drive, Bakersfield, California 93308.
