IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ricardo Ramirez
Llanas
April 3, 1962 – October 1, 2024
Ricardo Ramirez Llanas, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, in Hollister, California, at the age of 62. Born on April 3, 1962, in Harlingen, Texas. He later moved with his parents and siblings to Shafter, California where they made a life together. His hard working work ethic instilled upon him by his parents, laid the foundation for a lifetime of dedication, service, and love.
A man of admirable integrity and strength, Ricardo's journey took him from the warm embrace of where he was raised to the proud ranks of the United States Marine Corps, where he served his country with honor and distinction. Following his service, he pursued his passion for engineering, which led him to a fulfilling career as a stationary engineer at Kaiser Permanente. His work was not just a job but a testament to his commitment to improving the lives of those around him.
Ricardo's heart was ever at home, where he shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Alicia Llanas. During his first marriage to Irma Montes Llanas, they raised a family that became Ricardo's pride and joy. Although, he sometimes had trouble showing it, he loved them deeply. His children Maria Luisa Canty, Ricardo Montes Llanas, Gilbert Llanas, Julian Llanas, and stepdaughter Gabriella Loesch, were the light of his life. His love extended to his adored grandchildren, Renelle, Elena, and Emiliana, who will carry the legacy of his kindness and wisdom.
A man who loved deeply, Ricardo's passion for his family was matched only by his love for fixing things. Whether it was working on his farm, tending to the animals, or enjoying the latest movie, he embraced every moment with enthusiasm. His hands were rarely still, for he believed in the value of staying busy and the joy of creating and repairing.
Ricardo's life was one of constant motion and unwavering commitment to the things he held dear. His infectious laughter and smile and boundless energy will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. As Thomas Edison once said, "The man who doesn't make up his mind to cultivate the habit of thinking misses the greatest pleasure in life." Ricardo not only cultivated this habit but lived it fully, finding pleasure in every challenge and opportunity.
As we bid farewell to Ricardo Ramirez Llanas, we reflect on a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the stars guide the mariner at sea. His legacy is a testament to the impact one person can have on the lives of many, and it will be cherished for generations to come.Ricardo's life reminds us that the truest measure of a man is not in the wealth he accumulates but in the hearts he touches and the love he leaves behind. In the quiet moments, we will find him in the whispers of the wind through the trees on his beloved farm, the hum of a well-oiled machine, and the joyous laughter of his grandchildren at play.
Let us hold tight to the memories, for they are the precious gifts that Ricardo has left us. Though we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary man he was and the indelible mark he has left on our hearts. Rest in peace, Ricardo, until we meet again.
