Refugio Guevara was born on July 4, 1935 in Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico to Librado and Porfiria (Marquez) Guevara. Refugio worked as a laborer in the agriculture for 50 years. He married Consuelo Cisneros and they had nine children, six sons, and three daughters. Refugio Guevara is preceded in death by his parents, Librado Guevara y Porfiria Guevara. He is survived by his wife, Consuelo Guevara; sons, Tomas, Hector, Marco, Jose, Leopoldo y Sergio Guevara; daughters, San Juana, Teresa, y Maria Guevara; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 7pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter for Refugio Guevara, of Wasco, who passed away on February 20, 2015 in Bakersfield. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 12:30pm at St. John's Catholic Church. Lucas Azpericute officiated and interment followed at Wasco Memorial Park.
