Raymond Tibbals was born in Bakersfield Ca. to Robert and Shirley Tibbals. Raymond attended Wasco elementary schools and WUHS. He earned his GED and then attended San Joaquin Valley College to prepare for a career in law enforcement. He worked for 13 years as a Correctional Officer for the State Corrections in Delano. He was an active member of the Shafter Freewill Baptist Church. He was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan. His favorite hobby was encouraging his daughters in their various school activities. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Anthony and daughter Kimberly. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia and her husband Bryan Pinto, Ashley and her husband Nathan Garza, Marissa Tibbals, Lesli Tibbals, Shirley Tibbals and his sister, Sherry Studdard. A memorial service will be held on February 10, 2017, 1 pm at the Shafter Freewill Baptist Church, 155 Redwood Drive, Shafter. A graveside service will follow at 2 pm, at Wasco Memorial Park, 300 Leonard Avenue, Wasco. Reception to follow graveside at Shafter Freewill Baptist Church.
