IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond
Lozano
May 23, 1948 – May 24, 2007
Raymond Jesse Lozano was born May 23, 1948 in Bakersfield to Soledad Diaz Lozano and Jesse Lozano. He grew up in Bakersfield and graduated from South High with the Class of 1966. Raymond attended Bakersfield College before beginning his career as an electrician with Kern County General Services. He was drafted into the US Army, was stationed in Germany and honorably discharged in 1971. After his service with the military he returned to his job with the county and retired in 2005 after 35 years of service to the community. Raymond was a sportsman and enjoyed hunting and deep-sea fishing. He was also a horseman and a past member of the Charro Association and enjoyed participation in local parades. But Raymond's passion was riding with his "Biker Brothers" going to Sturgis and many other bike runs. He enjoyed life to the fullest and retirement was only an avenue to enjoy all the activities he pursued through life. Raymond is survived by his daughter Monica Lozano of Riverside; mother, Sally Lozano of Bakersfield; brother, Ernest Lozano of Bakersfield; sisters, Rita Weser & husband Troy of Fresno, Lorraine Horne & husband Joseph of Amarillo, Texas, Suzzanne Lozano of Bakersfield; nieces, Kimberli Gardea & husband Rudy, Rebecca Esparza & husband Anthony; nephews, Kristopher, Matt, Jake, Anthony and Adam; nieces, Kirsti and Amber; and many other loving family and friends. Holy Rosary will be recited Thursday, May 31, at 7pm at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said Friday, June 1, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by burial at Greenlawn River Blvd. A visitation will be held at Hopson-Anspach Mortuary on Thursday from 3pm-9pm.
