Raymond Vasquez Balderas, 60, of Bakersfield, California, entered rest on August 26, 2025.

Raymond had a gift for making the people around him laugh and feel at ease. He was a talented artist who poured his heart into his drawings, and his creativity will continue to inspire those who knew him. His faith was central to his life, and he served with love and dedication at Victory Outreach Church, including as the Men's Home Director, where he touched countless lives.

Above all, Raymond was a loving father, Grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind his children, Angela Irene Salas and her two sons, Atticus and Murdoc. Andres Ricardo Balderas and his children, Andrea Balderas and her daughter Briel, Andres Jr., Aaron, Major, Bryson, and Andi. Raymond Jr. Balderas and children, Zoey and Penelope. Raquel Flavia Balderas and her children, Timothy, Nova, Zion, and Baby Boy. Vincent Adan Balderas and his children, Noelle and Anakin. His mother, Francisca Vasquez Balderas, and his siblings, Alicia (Eugenio) Zamora, Adelina (Fred) Medal, Cristobal (Sophia) Balderas, Guadalupe Balderas, Pedro Balderas, Nicholas Balderas, Hacinta Gomez, Pilar Louis, Amelia (Alfredo) Diaz, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Pedro Martinez Balderas; brother Ricardo V.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Raymond's life at a viewing on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Peter's Funeral Home in Shafter, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Raymond will be remembered for his laughter, his art, his faith, and the love he gave so freely.
