Randall Duane Odom was born May 11, 1962 in Calexico, California to J.R. (Julian) Odom and Mary (Hagan) Daugherty. He grew up and attended schools in San Bernardino and moved to Bakersfield in 1980. Randy was Mr. Mom to his daughter and worked at Pizzaville for many years. Randy also worked as a courier and was able to take his daughter Leslie with him on the job, which they both loved. He returned to school attending Bakersfield College and then earning his Bachelors' Degree in History at CSUB. Randy was teaching independent study students for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools for the last three years. Randy loved sports in general and baseball, the Padres and football, the Chargers, in particular. He also enjoyed driving and would take long trips to the mountains. Randall is survived by his daughter, Leslie Adams and husband Zach; sister, Cindy Morgan and husband Steve Naoum; and many loving family members and friends. A graveside service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home will be held Monday, April 28, at 10am at Shafter Memorial Park for Randall Duane Odom, age 45, of Bakersfield who passed away April 23, in Bakersfield. Pastor Steve Hunt of the Bakersfield First Assembly of God Church will officiate and interment will follow.
