Obituary

RAMON MORALES VILLA 07/27/1925 – 10/03/2006 Visitation was held Sunday, October 8, 2006, from 4-9 PM, at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary in Lamont. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was said Sunday, October 8, 2006, 7 PM, at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary. Mass of Christian was held Monday, October 9, 2006, 10 AM, at St. Augustine's church. Father John Schmoll officiated with interment immediately following at South Kern Cemetery District. Ramon was born to Ramon and Nasaria Villa on July 27, 1925, in Big Springs, Texas. He lived in Texas and New Mexico, finally settling in Lamont, California with his wife, Rosa Duran, who he married in May 1953. Ramon served his country in the United States Army during WWII. His career would begin with Giumarra Farms, and end with Arvin/Edison Water District as a Canal Patrol. Ramon was a member of St. Augustine's Church. He was a loving and caring husband and father. Ramon loved being surrounded by his grandchildren. Ramon is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Villa and is survived by two step-sons and their spouses, Arthur and Roseanne Duran, and Raul and Anita Duran; four sisters, Alejandra Pizano, Martina Marez, Simona Pilson and Guadalupe Aragon; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
