Ramon G. Moreno was born February 10, 1944 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Jesus and Oliva (Guerrero) Moreno. He migrated to California with his family and lived in Planada for many years. Ramon has been a resident of Arvin for the last 28 years. Ramon worked for Gallo Winery in Planada and for El Tejon Farms in Arvin. Ramon loved going to the park and being in the outdoors with nature. He would go to the park everyday to play cards with his friends. He also loved taking care of his yard and watering his plants. Ramon is survived by his wife of 40 years, Beatriz (Perez) Moreno of Arvin; mother, Oliva Moreno of Planada; sons, Salvador and wife Maria Elena of Arvin and Ramon, Jr. and wife Lamar of Bakersfield; daughters, Lupe Valencia and husband Victor, Olivia and Lucy, all of Arvin; brothers, Baltazar, Isidro, Raul, Guillermo, Luis, Francisco, Jesus; sisters, Maria and Beatriz; 9 grandchildren and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus and his sister, Irma. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Thursday, June 19 at 6pm at Arvin Funeral Home for Ramon G. Moreno, age 64, of Arvin who passed away June 17 in Bakersfield. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 20 at 10am at St. Thomas Church. Fr. Jorge will officiate the service and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District, Arvin. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 19 at Arvin Funeral Home from 4pm to 8pm.
