Rafael Loza Gutierrez was born on October 24, 1934 in Jalisco, Mexico to parents Magdaleno Gutierrez and Antonia Loza. He was a caring father and grandfather who loved his grandchildren immeasurably. When he was not spending time with his beloved family at home, he would enjoy his time at the local swamp meet with his children. Rafael had great faith in prayer and habitually prayed The Lords Prayer. Rafael entered eternal life on July 11, 2016 at home surrounded by loving family. Rafael is survived by his children, Martha Gutierrez, Anita Gutierrez, Antonia Gutierrez, Sofia Gutierrez, Raul Gutierrez, Rafael Gutierrez Jr., Antonio Gutierrez, Irene Adams; many grandchildren, and numerous Great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Irene B. Gutierrez (2013) and son, Magdaleno Gutierrez (2014). A Mass of a Christian Burial was officiated by Father Raul A. Sanchez Flores Friday, July 15, 2016 at 1pm at St. John's Catholic Church in Wasco, Ca. A viewing was held Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 2-8pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco, CA.
