Rachel Hipps, 80 A viewing will be held at 11 a.m. and a service at noon Jan. 27 at Wiefels and Son in Yucca Valley for Rachel Hipps, who died at home Jan. 22, 2009. She was 80 years old. Born in Tennessee, she was the daughter of Jake Housten Stafford and Buehla Ambern. She lived in California 45 years and in Yucca Valley nine months. Mrs. Hipps was married to Jack D. Hipps for 58 years; he preceded her in death nine months ago. She is survived by daughter Wanda Saulmon of Beaumont, sons Jack O. Hipps of Yucca Valley, Roger Hipps of Orange and Steve Hipps of Yucaipa, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way and a great-great-grandchild on the way.
