Pilar U. Primera 1921 - 2016 Pilar Urias Primera, May 30, 1921, of Bakersfield CA, passed away on September 29, 2016, after battling Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Family was at her side and she is now with our Heavenly father. Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she had her own sense of humor and often made her family laugh. She loved her family and instilled in her children, the importance of family values. Pilar loved to craft, draw, do puzzles and loved her Sunday comics. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and brother. She is survived by her children Eufelia Bonilla (Pete), Alicia Saenz, Elva Farias, Felipe Primera Jr. (Don), Susie Flores (Lin), and Tony Primera (Kathy). Pilar leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Her children request donations be made in her name to foundations for Alzheimer's and Parkinson research. Memorial Services will be held at Peters Funeral Home Chapel on Friday October 14, 2016 at 6:30pm, followed by a Graveside service at Shafter Memorial Park on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 10am.
