Phyllis Inez Wilkinson passed away on August 30th 2010. She was born Phyllis Inez Tankersley to Verna and David Tankersley on February 23 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her mother later married Roy Burke who helped raise her and her four siblings, Skeet Tankersley, Jo Andersen, Ronnie Tankersley and Jack Tankersley. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister and best friend Jo Andersen, her mother Verna, her stepfather Roy and her dad David. She moved to California in 1941. As a young lady she grew up in Huntington Park California. She later moved to Wasco to be near her sister Jo 31 years ago, and made it her home. Phyllis had many roles in her life. She loved animals, was a dog groomer and owned the Pampered Pup here in town. She loved to collect antiques and had an antique store here also. She loved gardening and going to garage sales with Jo and Grandma and loved the outdoors. She loved to camp and some of our earliest memories are of Mom and Jo piling all of us kids, cousins and dogs into the Pontiac and heading to Pine Flat lake for a week or so. The thing she loved the most was laughing. She loved to laugh and just have fun with her family and friends at our backyard get togethers. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be remembered as a fun loving soul. Phyllis is survived by her three children, David Foster and wife Susan, Terri Bozarth and husband Jerry, Donna Foster, her six grandchildren, Nicki Schull, Michael Bozarth, Donnie Foster, Charlotte Foster, Damien Foster, and Joseph McElvain, her brothers, Skeet, Ronnie and Jack, and her dogs Sissy and Sugar. The memorial will be held at her home at 1:00 pm, Saturday, Sept. 18th at 1801 Sycamore st. Wasco California.
