Phillip Wayne Hart was born in Bakersfield, CA on November 23, 1953 to Glenda Ruth (Peace) and Floyd James Hart. He attended local schools and was a 1972 graduate of Shafter High School. He met his beautiful wife, Erma (Jara) and they married in Delano on July 13, 1975. Phillip served as a fire fighter with Kern County in Lost Hills and was a member of Fire Fighter Union – Local 1304. He was a sportsman at heart; he enjoyed fishing at the Buena Vista Aqueduct, dove hunting, deep sea fishing and shooting skeet. He, along with his family attended Valley Bible Church in Shafter. Phillip was preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his wife Erma of 34 years; daughter, Kimberly Hart; granddaughters, Alyssa and Haleigh Hart; brothers, Dink and wife Julia of Shafter, Steve and wife Joyce of Sacramento, John and wife Julie of Bakersfield; sister, Bobbie Floyd of Novato, CA. Pastor Mike Polley will officiate church services for Phillip Wayne Hart, age 55 of Shafter who died August 27, 2009, at Valley Bible Church at 10am Thursday, September 3rd, with interment immediately following at Shafter Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 2nd from 2 – 8 pm at Peters Funeral Home.
