Philip Thomas Smith was born on January 26, 1956 to Donald and Grace (Marks) Smith in Bakersfield, California. He attended Wasco High School and graduated class of 1974. Philip married Allison Reyne Boyd on March 17, 1995. He worked for Plains Exploration and Production from 1996 and in the oil fields for the past 33 years. Phillip is survived by his wife, Reyne Smith, of Bakersfield; his son Kenin Smith, of Bakersfield; his daughters Lacie Smith, of Las Vegas and Kylee Smith, of Shafter. Graveside service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 2pm at Wasco Memorial Park, for Philip Thomas Smith, age 52, who passed away on March 27, 2008 in Bakersfield, California. Pastor Danny Scott of Wasco Freewill Baptist Church will officiate and interment will follow. There will be a visitation held for Philip on Sunday, March 30, from 4pm – 8pm.
