A service for Perry Kenneth Dick will be held at 10:45 a.m. March 15 at 56284 Buena Vista Drive in Yucca Valley, with Bob Alexander of First Christian Church officiating. A 55-year resident of Yucca Valley, Mr. Dick died March 6, 2009, at Desert Regional Medical Center. The cause of death was a stroke. He was 79 years old. The son of Joseph Dick and Margaret Stickwrath, he was born July 7, 1930. He was in the United States Navy for five years, serving in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Dick worked as a photographer engineer for the United States Naval Academy at Pt. Mugu for 26 years before he retired. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Blanche Dick of Yucca Valley; daughters Sheila Tellez of Sacramento and Charlotte Dick of Ventura; grandson and graddaughter-in-law David and Ashley Berger of Ventura; son-in-law Aldo Tellez of Sacramento; granddaughter Julianna Aguilar of Ventura; grandson Aldo Tellez Jr. of Sacramento; grandson Brandon Perry Tellez; and brother Thomas Dick.
