Pauline Heredia Chavez, age 92, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Pauline Heredia Chavez was born in Michoacán, Mexico on February 16, 1921 to Pablo and Marcelina (Facio) Heredia. She lived in Shafter C.A., Pauline worked as an electronic assembler and farm laborer. Pauline was an active member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the Guadalupanos. She is survived by her siblings: Linda H. Mendoza, Suzanna H. Aguilar, Mary H. Aburto, and Margaret H. Santana. Her children: Bernie Baca and spouse Joann, Rachel Gonzalez, Madeline Cortez and Larry Chavez and spouse Yvonne. Pauline is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grand children. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert "Hoover" Chavez. Viewing will be held on Thursday April 4 from 2-8 pm with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of the Resurrection will be officiated by Padre Pedro Umana at St. Teresa's Catholic Church on Friday April 5 at 10am.
