Pauline Brown was born February 2, 1915 in Arkansas to Fred and Bessie (Perryman) Wood. The family moved to Wasco and Pauline attended Wasco elementary schools. Pauline then moved to Oklahoma where she met Samuel Edmond Brown. Ed and Skeeter were married February 13, 1932 in Bristow, Oklahoma and in 1933 returned to Wasco. Skeeter served her family as a homemaker and helped Ed when they owned Brown's Market and later on at the family farm. Skeeter enjoyed working in her yard, especially the cactus garden. She also crocheted beautiful tablecloths, curtains, bedspreads and towels. She also loved to go to Las Vegas and play the keno machines. Ed preceded her in death on November 23, 1988. She is survived by her son, Larry Brown and companion Judy Dailey of Bakersfield; daughter, Leta Mae Camp of Wasco; and granddaughter, Paula Camp of Delano. A graveside service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Wasco will be held, Wednesday, September 26 at 2pm at Wasco Memorial Park for Pauline Skeeter Brown, age 92 who passed away September 21, in Bakersfield. Pastor Mike Lynch, chaplain with Odyssey Hospice will officiate the service. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2pm to 8pm and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm at Peters Funeral Home.
