Obituary

Paula (Sharina) Maria Lindsey, 62 slipped peacefully into the arms of her loving Jesus the evening of March 29,2024. Paula was born to Donald and Dorothy Sherman in Bakersfield, CA on May 9th, 1961, and was the second of five children. She graduated from Shafter high in 1979 and married the love of her life, Jon Lindsey. They had just celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on February 16th.

Paula was a member of the Wasco Church of God (Tabernacle of Praise) for more than 40 years. Paula was the church clerk and worship leader for over 30 years. Her greatest priority in life was her relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ, her family, friends, and pets. Many will remember her as the Yard Duty at Richland Junior high, Stringham's Drug store (Rite Aid) and Rio Bravo Greely lunch Lady. Paula loved her job at RBG it brought her joy spending time with the students and her co-workers. She loved the beach and spending time on the central coast with her husband and family.

Paula delighted in spending time with family, cleaning Gods house and fellow shipping with her church family. She loved being with her family at every opportunity whether it was holidays, birthdays, weddings, sporting events or her just dropping in to say hello. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play basketball, baseball, softball, football, volleyball, soccer, and theater.

Paula's is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy Sherman, brother (Michael), Niece (Tara) Nephew (Eric) Wilson. She is survived by her husband (Jon) Lindsey, sons Chris (Sara) Lindsey, Bradley Lindsey, and Craig Lindsey, 6 grandchildren, 1 great- grand daughter, brother Wayne, sisters' Patricia (Daniel) Perales, Sharon (Fabian) Flores, (13) nieces, (12) Nephews, (17) great nieces, (13) great nephews, one great-great nephew and one great niece coming soon.

Paula's life can be found in Proverbs 31. Her example of faithfulness and her relationship with Jesus Christ--who can compare? We will miss her dearly and eternally love her. She will always be remembered by her joyful spirit, servanthood to always serve others, desire to always be in the will of the Lord, and love to worship in song no matter where she was her smile radiated the love of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Hoffman Hospice for all the care their staff rendered to my Paula during her time at home on hospice care. Marianne & April made Paula's last days at home more comfortable up until her passing. For that we are very grateful and appreciative.

"Her Children rise up and call her blessed" Proverbs 31:28
