Paul was born in Bakersfield, Ca to Herman W. and Doris Dargatz. He was raised in Buttonwillow, Ca along with his four siblings. He passed away on May 15, 2018. Through the years he was employed in the oilfield as a heavy equipment mechanic, but his most loved job was that of a hunting guide on Santa Cruz Island. Paul had a life long passion for hunting and fishing and enjoyed this with many life long friends. While in the military he earned a badge for marksmanship. He is survived by his loving daughter, Larissa who monitored and guided his medical care to the end. Paul is also survived by sisters, Jane, Bev, Susie and brother Herman. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at Shafter Memorial Park at 2pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Peters Funeral Home.
