Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Mac Neil was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. She received her education at St. Joseph's School of Nursing where she became a registered nurse. She was a long time resident of Shafter. Before her retirement, she worked for several years at Golden Living Center (Shafter Health Care), where she was the Director of Nursing for twenty years. She worked there from the day the hospital opened and leaves behind many dear friends. Her favorite activity was attending her son Robert's musical performances. She was by far his number one fan and supporter. She also enjoyed listening to talk radio, reading various newspapers and having a good cup of coffee. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Allen in 1999. She is survived by her son, Robert of Los Angeles; three daughters, Carolyn and Alanna, both of Shafter, and Donna of Delano; her granddaughter, Shelby. Pat is also survived by three brothers, Cletus, Charles and Gerard; one sister, Carmella all of Canada. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Golden Living Center and Hoffman Hospice for their care, love and support. Recitation of the Holy Rosary followed by a Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese's Catholic Church on Friday, November 2, 2007, at 10am, for Patricia "Pat" Mac Neil, age 71, of Shafter, who passed away October 28, 2007, in Shafter. Father Pedro Umana of St.Therese's Catholic Church will officiate the service and interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park.
