The life of Patricia R. Flores tragically ended on the afternoon of Monday, September 17, 2012 in Shafter, California. Patricia was born on January 26, 1980 in Bakersfield, California to Fernando and Maria (Renteria) Salas. Patricia was the 2nd born of four children and the eldest daughter. Her father lovingly called her "Pateo" because she was always moving around. No sooner would he see her standing in front of him that she was sprinting down the block. She walked at such a fast pace, it looked like she was always in a hurry somewhere. All of that fast walking gave way to her love of music, specifically dancing to music. Her "always on the move" way of being carried into adulthood; only 6 months ago, she earned her Class A driver's license and was working as a truck driver for McCaslin Trucking in Shafter. Patricia was a mother to 7 beautiful children and wife to Miguel Angel Flores whom she was wed to on December 5, 2001. Miguel will keep the memory of that day as the happiest day of his life. Patricia's greatest accomplishment is also her greatest gift to this world; her seven, Heaven-sent gifts. She loved her children with the purest of heart and devotion; they were her life, bringing her joy and purpose. A beautiful life was taken from this world too soon; her heartwarming smile, tender soul, and her ability to give without ever seeking anything in return will be longingly missed. Patricia is survived by her parents, Fernando and Maria (Renteria) Salas; husband, Miguel Angel Flores; children: Manuel, Javier, and Cassandra Palomo; Angel Jeshua, Alondra, and Victoria Mireya Flores; and Exyra Lee Alexander; brother and sister-in-law, Rigoberto and Vivian Tadeo; brother and sister-in-law, Gilberto and Kimberly Piña; sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Israel Espinoza; grandmother, Domitila Legaspi; as well as many other family members and friends. Visitation for Patricia R. Flores will be held at Peters Funeral Home Chapel in Shafter on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 4 – 8 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary commencing at 6 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church in Shafter on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 10 AM. Graveside committal and interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park.
