Obituary

Patricia Ruth Calderon was born in Silverton, Oregon and grew up in Bend, Oregon where she met her husband, Julian P. Calderon who was stationed nearby at Camp Abbot. She was a devoted wife and mother of four children; Gloria Lynn (deceased) Garrett Paul, Randall James and Mark Alan Calderon and is also survived by her husband Julian P. Calderon; and her brothers; William C. Redmond and Robert L. Redmond, both of Oregon. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 30, 2010 at the age of 86. Patricia and Julian were married in the chapel at Fort Lewis, Washington then stationed at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana followed by Camp Shelby, Mississippi and spent a ten day furlough in Florida. She worked for Bakersfield City Schools Cafeteria for 19 ½ years, then volunteered and called out bingo numbers for 14 years. She was a very friendly person with a lot of empathy towards everyone. Patricia had many friends and pen pals that she kept in touch with some since Jr. High days. A church service will be held for Patricia Ruth Calderon on Friday September 3, 2010 at St. Joseph's Church at 10 am. Visitation will be held at the Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary, on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 2-8pm
