IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Dawn
Bond
September 24, 1932 – September 13, 2011
Long time Wasco and current Bakersfield resident Pat Bond went home to be with our Lord on September 13, 2011. Mrs. Bond was born September 24, 1932, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Robert and Esther Massey. Pat was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, who always put her family first and had a giving heart. Pat was truly a special gift to everyone she touched. She especially loved her grandchildren, Lacie and Roger, who she spent much of her time with as they grew up, but possessed the ability to make any child feel special. Pat worked for many years in the Wasco Union School District Cafeteria, and had a special place in her heart for the mentally and physically handicapped kids she worked with there. Pat taught Sunday School and worked with kids in Awana at her Church. She was the Florence Nightingale of her community, taking care of anyone who needed help. Pat liked to travel and took a 3 month trip around the U.S. with her husband Charles and sister-in-law Bobbie and brother-in-law Bill. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Esther Ruth Massey and Robert Lester Massey. She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Charles H. Bond; son, Stacy Bond; daughter, Traci and son-in-law Roger Sharp; her two grandchildren, Lacie and husband Rex Phinney, Roger C. Sharp and wife Kristen; Sisters, Dorothy Laughlin, Louise Reddick, and Roberta Guyon; and brother, Albert Massy. Also longtime best friend Roxie Kinsman, and the many wonderful friends and neighbors she had throughout her life. She will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is in Heaven with Jesus now. A graveside service will be held at Wasco Memorial Park on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at 2:00pm. Viewing will take place at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
