Orbie Lee Meeler Jr., 82 passed away on May 14, 2026, at his home in Shafter.

He was born on January 15, 1944, in Belmont, North Carolina and proudly served his country in the United State Air Force, and carried that same spirit of loyalty, strength and dedication throughout his life. He was a man who deeply loved the Lord, cherished his family, and never missed an opportunity to cheer for North Carolina teams and football of any kind.

Lee brought smiles and laughter to those around him. His love for family was unwavering, and the memories he created with those he loved will remain treasured forever.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Connie., his daughters, Leah, Tara, and Tiffany, 7 grandchildren. Brooke. Lexi. Cole. Cierra, Tanner, Saige, Baleigh and 10 Great grandchildren. Lee is also survived by his sister Martha and her family.

Lee will remembered for his faith, patriotism, humor, and the steadfast love he gave to his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
