Onecima Perez was born February 6, 1945 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico to Camilo & Florentina (Augayo) Reyes. She lived in Minneapolis before moving to California then settling in Wasco 33 years ago. She married Paul Manuel Perez, December 18, 1976 in McFarland. She worked in agriculture for over 40 years and retired from Jackson & Perkins where she worked during the rose season. Her favorite color was purple and she loved roses. She was an active member of the United Farm Workers where she did volunteer work. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and sewing as a hobby. She was a member of St. John's Church and fellowshipped with the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Paul Perez of Wasco; son, Pablo Perez and wife Rose of Wasco; daughter, Susana Vargas and husband Ryan of Wasco; grandchildren, Dominique Perez, Brianna Perez, Abby Vargas and Ryan Vargas; brothers, Pedro of Bakersfield, Domingo, Sergio and Roberto, all of Wasco, Rigo and Ismael, both of Mexico; sisters, Santos Campo, Amalia Reyes and Amelia Gonzalez, all of Wasco, Marta Reyes of Bakersfield, Cecilia Reyes of Mexico, Catalina Parra of Texas and Anna Alarcon of Oregon; and many other loving family members. Rosary will be recited Monday, June 25, at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said, Tuesday, June 26 at 10am at St. John's Church. Interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Sunday, June 24 and Monday, June 25, from 2pm to 8pm.
