Olivia Pena Garza was born on January 30, 1959, to Manuel and Manuela Flores in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She married Cruz Garza and they shared 33 years together. Olivia enjoyed shopping for jewelry and clothing. Olivia was a giving woman who was always there for anyone who needed her help. She could not say "No" if she saw that she could help someone. Adela was a strong woman, she was a fighter the kind of woman who would never give up. Friends and family loved her for her big heart; she will be greatly missed. Adela was preceded in death by her father, Manuel; and 2 brothers, Cesar and Reyes. She is survived by her mother, Manuela; sons, Rodrigo and wife Jessica, David and wife Amber, Licinio and wife Claudia, Eliel and wife Daisy, Cruz Manuel, Alejandro, and Sammy Garza; daughters, Sonia Garcia, Leonora and husband Leobardo Encinas, Elenita and husband Francisco Trujillo, Olivia Garza, and Selena Manuela Garza; brothers, Jacob, Gilbert and Alejos Pena; sisters, Francisca Pena, Lulu Rios. Porfiria Pena; 16 grandchildren and one on the way Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at Peters Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2008, at 6pm, for Olivia Garza, age 49, of Shafter, who passed away March 23, 2008, in Bakersfield. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, March 31, 2008, at 10am. Father Pedro Umana of St. Therese's Catholic Church officiated the service and interment was held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008.
