Ofelia Salas was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico on April 18, 1947 to Exiquio H. Salas and Antonia M. Reyes. Ofelia worked in Education as a Bus Driver, Custodian, and teachers' aide for 35 years. She enjoyed working for the school district and playing bingo every chance she got. She was an enthusiast for casinos, dancing and buffets. Ofelia had a generous and loving heart, which was reflected in everything she did in life. Ofelia was 67 years old when she passed away on September 15, 2014 in Arvin, California. She was a resident of Arvin, California. Ofelia is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Jose Ayala; sons; Eric Hernandez, Ernesto Hernandez, Efren Hernandez, and Enedin Hernandez; brother; Exiquio H. Salas Jr.; sisters; Josefina Salas, Alta Salas, Maria Salas and Janie Reyes; 11 grandchildren , 2 great- grandchildren , and numerous nieces and nephews. Ofelia is proceeded in death by her parents; Exiquio Salas and Antonia Reyes; sister; Antonia Salas and brother, Lionso Salas. The Graveside service was officiated by Pastor Victor at Arvin Cemetery at 10am Tuesday, September 23, 2014. A visitation was held on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 4-8pm at Arvin Funeral Home.
