Ofelia Palomo Martinez was born on February 7, 1925. She was 97 years old when she peacefully passed away surrounded by all her family on May 27, 2022. Ofelia was born in Bakersfield, Ca to Fructuoso V. Palomo and Carmen Castre Palomo. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul H. Martinez. They were married on July 12, 1942. Ofelia had a great work ethic and was a devoted Catholic. A great mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She always helped family members in need. She had 12 siblings. Preceding her in death are: Joe Palomo , Rudy Palomo (Micky), Sarah Carrosco (Felix), Maria Del Carmen, Phyllis Nunez (Phil), Arthur Palomo, Fred Palomo, John Palomo (Mary). Grandson, Mark Gregory Chavez; brother-in- law, Arthur Borjon; sister-in-law, Olga Palomo. Ofelia is survived by 3 siblings; Salvador Palomo, Carmen Beadle (Frank), Irene Borjon; Sister-in- laws, Beatrice Palomo, Lupe Palomo, Stella Palomo. She is survived by her daughters; Shirley M. Chavez (Arthur- Deceased), Carmen P. Lucas (Steve); Son, Paul P. Martinez (Jane); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren
