Norma Jean Roskam was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on November 24, 1924to Cecil Leroy & Laura May (Sigler) Nelson. She was raised in Wasco and attended local schools. Jean was an active member of the planning committee for the class reunions and enjoyed participating in FFA. She had a close group of friends at the United Methodist Womens group, where she was an active member for many years. Jean enjoyed traveling, gardening and was an avid walker. Jean went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2014. She is survived by her son Gary Roskam (Della); her daughter Janice Slinkard (Frank); 6 grand children and 2 great grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Arlo John Roskan, brother, Robert Nelson. A Graveside service will be held at Wasco Memorial Park on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at 11am.
