Noel "Juanita" (Myers) Nord was born to Burnis and Freda Myers in her grandmother's house in Tecumseh, Oklahoma on September 2, 1920. She went home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 24, 2014. Juanita was a woman of God who lived out her faith until the end, sharing the love of the Lord with those she came in contact with. Her greatest joys in life were her husband Frank Nord, who preceded her in death in 2003, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; and of course, her Lord. She is survived by Becky (Nord) Groves, husband John; Morris Nord, wife Shirley; Tim Nord, wife Jan and Cheryl (Nord) Toews, husband Randy; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her but we rejoice in knowing we will see her again. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! A memorial service will be held on October 9, 2014 at 11am at Heritage Bible Church, 2323 Mt Vernon Ave., Bakersfield, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritans Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org) or Hoffman Hospice.
