Nicholas "Nicky" Cagney Forrest, 23, of Talihina, OK, formerly of Arvin California, passed away Monday, May 5th, 2008 at his home. Nicky was born in Bakersfield, California on November 6, 1984, the son of the Rhonda D. Hicks and Steve Forrest. Nicky graduated from Arvin High School in Arvin, California. He enjoyed fishing and watching movies, video games and computers. He loved being outdoors and being with his family. He worked as a roughneck for an oil company. He was preceded in death by his step-father; Delmer Walters and his maternal grandparents; D. V. and Virginia Hicks. He is survived by his mother; Rhonda Hicks of Arvin, California, father; Steve and Shelly Forrest of Bishop, California; six brothers; Bruce Brown and Amber Samuel of Talihina, Oklahoma, Travis Hicks of Arvin, California, Brandon Forrest of Bishop, California, Michael Forrest and Joey Forrest of Lamont, California, Clayton Forrest of Bakersfield, California; two sisters; Michelle Nunez of Bakersfield, California, Savannah Forrest of Bishop, California; paternal grandparents; Don Forrest of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Barbara Forrest of Bakersfield, California; two nieces; Brianna & Emily Brown; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside funeral services were conducted by Arvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 11am in the outdoor chapel at South Kern Cemetery, Arvin for Nicholas Cagney Forrest, age 23, of Oklahoma who passed away May 5, in Oklahoma. Pastor Mark McGinty officiated the service and interment followed.
