Obituary

Nicholas was born in Bakersfield and was a graduate of Garces Memorial High School. Following graduation Nick enlisted in the United States Army, trained at Fort Knox and was assigned to Fort Irwin as a Cavalry Scout attaining the rank of a Sergeant. Nicholas married Kristin Kay Schondra while they were both posted at Fort Irwin. They are the parents of Holden and Brynn Anthony, age four. Following discharge from the Armed Forces Nick returned to Bakersfield and enrolled at Bakersfield College obtaining his Associates Degree and was given the Honor Graduate Award for achieving the highest degree of academic scholarship. He later enrolled in the Pre-Med program at California State University, Bakersfield. Nicholas is survived by a circle of loving friends and family including; his wife, Kris; son, Holden; daughter, Brynn; parents, Catharine and James; sisters, Jennifer Helston and Brie Anthony; grandparents, Ben and Liz Le Beau and Melvin and Farra Anthony; uncle, Bernie and wife, Lynn Le Beau; aunt Mary Le Beau and uncle Mike Le Beau; cousins, Ben, Kate, Christy, Kelley, Cassandra, Thomas, Jared, Ariel Le Beau. He is also survived by his beloved second family Jose and Molly Jimenez, Jose, E.J, Trish, Isaac and Elizabeth. Rosary will be recited Thursday, June 21 at 6:30pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be said Friday, June 22, at 9am at St. Francis Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Foundation, PO Box 2000, Loma Linda, CA 92354, in care of the Nicholas L. Anthony Starlight Foundation.
