Nelda M. McVay entered into this world Aug. 19, 1937 to James Leo and Eva Marie Wooldridge in Mayperal, Texas. Nelda was a mother of four, three girls, and one boy: Dana, Debbie, Denise, and Jerry. Nelda was a very sweet woman who worked in a small grocery store as a cashier soon out of High School near the city of Riverdale, CA. Nelda is survived by her husband Bobby McVay of Shafter. In her life she enjoyed Country music. She was a very sweet and kind of person who would welcome you with a smile. Her family will truly miss her and will always remember her. A graveside memorial service will take place Friday, Sept. 13th at 1pm Shafter Cemetery. Pastor Gary Long of the Shafter Free Will Baptist church will be presenting words of comfort for the family.
