IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Morene
Carr
December 13, 1925 – October 23, 2016
Betty Keller was born in Bisbee, AZ and raised in small towns in Central Ca. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno in 1943, then moved with her parents to Sacramento where she married, had two children, Christine and Clinton, and worked for the State of Ca Dept. of Water Resources. In 1967, she remarried and moved to Pond, CA where she became the Postmistress at the Pond Mercantile and again worked for the Dept. of Water Resources, helping to open the Lost Hills office. She then moved to Wasco in 1972 and finally to Bakersfield in 2007 (A special thank you to everyone at Brookdale Assisted Living on Westwold Drive), where mom lived and attended church. Mom was a talented artist in oils and watercolors, as well as a master at sewing, crocheting and crafting. She was feisty and funny and never knew a stranger. She always said she did not think she would live past the age of 90 because 90 years old would make her "over the hill". Betty was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Wyota Keller and her husband, Eugene "Bud" Carr. She is survived by her son Clinton (Cheryl), her daughter Christine Fong (Terry), and four grandchildren: CJ and Caity Carr and Michael and Kimi Fong. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Brookdale 8100 Westwold Drive Bakersfield, Ca 93311 on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 10am.
