IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mitchell Cameron
Dill
October 18, 1991 – October 1, 2023
Mitchell Cameron Dill was born on October 18, 1991 to Anita Lois Gaston and Larry Steven Dill in Bakersfield, CA. Mitchell's journey into this world was not an easy one. He overcame cancer at age three and defied the doctor's diagnosis that he would not walk. Despite the odds, he beat cancer, learned to walk, and eventually run. He had a very happy childhood in Wasco with his sister, Elizabeth, and cousins, Calvin, Eddie, and Kevin.
Mitchell attended school in Wasco. He graduated high school in 2009 a true celebration of accomplishment. Mitchell was a kind, shy kid who loved animals, gaming, baseball, anime especially Dragon Ball Z. He had an avid passion for working on cars and a natural ability for electrical work and could repair almost anything. During his life, he held various jobs in the service and farming industry, but he always dreamed that he would one day be a wealthy man.
Mitchell endured many struggles in his lifetime. Some he overcame, some he was still working through. His good-natured heart never wavered despite it all. On October 1, 2023, Mitchell departed this life and was welcomed into the home of the Lord by his maternal grandmother and family members, who were surely waiting for him at the gates of Heaven. Mitchell leaving this world changed our lives and of all those who knew him.
The week before his departure, he made amends to those he felt he had wounded. Making an endearing mark on them for a hope of a better tomorrow.
Mitchell was baptized at the age of six at True Light Baptist Church. Although he did not attend church regularly, you could find him reading his bible and holding discussions with family members and friends. He had a true relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ. He knew HIM as his true Savior. He even started a bible study group with other incarcerated inmates.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Anita Lois Gaston, and sister, Elizabeth Gaston of Wasco; father, Larry Steven Dill; brother, Ronnie Dill of Texas; Paternal grandparents, Jeannie and Pete Sunderman of Bakersfield; Larry and Marsha Dill of Tehachapi; aunts, Rhonda Dill and Karen Cole; adopted sisters, Lori Uribe, Stephanie Lopez, and Paris Moore along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mitchell is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Farries and Vivian Gaston, his beloved aunt Farrilyn Diaz, and six other aunts and uncles.
