Minnie was born to Ben B. and Flora Brown in Fairview, Oklahoma, and passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday night August 4th. She is survived by son Ron and wife Angela of Bear Valley Springs; son Gerald and wife Judy of Madera; daughter Minnal Hummel and husband Craig of Bear Valley Springs; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Ruby Schultz of Fresno, Esther Klassen of Arizona and Elsie Garrison of Bakersfield. Minnie was born in Oklahoma, raised in Shafter and married to Alvin for 66 years before he passed away in May of this year. She worked in the cafeterias of several Bakersfield area schools while employed by the Bakersfield City School District for 24 years before her retirement. The Memorial Service to celebrate Minnie's life will be on Monday, August 12, 11:00 a.m. at Laurelglen Bible Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Shafter.
