Miguela Feliciano who was born to Maria de Jesus (Nieves) and Evaristo Perez in Puerto Rico, passed away March 16, 2009 in Shafter. She married Angel Feliciano in 1950 and came to the United States via New York in 1955. They raised 6 children and have been residents of Kern County for 40 years. She enjoyed Sunday outings, such as shopping and eating out with her family. She had a passion for embroidering, which was one of her favorite pastimes. Miguela was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Angel of 56 years (2006) and is survived by her son, Jose Angel Feliciano of Shafter; daughters, Nydia Garza and husband Juan of Shafter, Mary Rodriguez of Shafter, Diana Benson and husband Edward of Maryland, Ann Feliciano of Shafter and Yolanda Carrillo and husband Javier of Bakersfield; 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A Christian Burial Service will be held for Miguel Feliciano, age 83, Friday, March 20, 2009 at 1 pm at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Internment immediately following at Shafter Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, March 19th from 2-8pm at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary at 6 pm.
