Michael James Ybarra went to be with his Heavenly Father on October 2, 2013. He was born in Bakersfield, California on October 19, 1972. He went peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy illness. He left behind his two sons, Michael J. Ybarra, Jr. and Nicholas J. Ybarra; one daughter, Monica M. Ybarra; parents, Harry and Gloria Ybarra; sister, Teresa White; brothers, Joseph Ybarra, Phillip Ybarra, Steven Ybarra and wife Benette Stevens; uncles, John Armendariz, David Armendariz, Serafin Ybarra; aunts, Mary Ramirez, Sally Gonzalez and Esther K. Armendariz; his Nana, Ruth Mosqueda; nieces, Kathleen White, her nino Ashley White and Lana Ybarra; nephews, Santino, Joaquin and Silas Ybarra; also many aunts, uncles, cousins as well as many friends and his favorite team "Go Dodgers". The family would like to thank Dr. Alan Cartmell, the staff at Davita Dialysis Center and Doctors, Amirnokr, Baer and Saiki; and Dr. Komin and Dr. Kim both of Shafter. Holy Rosary will be recited Monday, October 7, at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home, Shafter. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 8, at 10am at St. Therese's Church, Shafter. Interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park.
