Obituary

Mike was born in Wasco to Owen and Verniece Priest and two older sisters. He was the pitcher for the Wasco Tigers. Following graduation, he started working at Kern County Equipment in the parts department. From there he worked for Lowe Bros. working in the hay. Then onto Berrenda Mesa Water District followed by Mobil Oil (Lost Hills). He medically retired in 1996 after being diagnose with multiple sclerosis. Mike was preceded in death by his dad Owen, niece Lori Keshishian, great friend Larry Pearson and father-in-law Pete Schulte. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 23 years Julie (Schulte); daughter, Jenna; Mom, Verniece; sisters, Charlene Deason (Paul), Marcia Mata (Florencio), mother-in-law, Dolores Schulte/in-laws and many nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers, doctors, nurses and aides. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2pm at Wasco Memorial Park for Michael Priest, age 60, of Wasco, who passed away on March 5, 2016 in his residence in Bakersfield. Private Visitation.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society at 1800 30th Street, ste 105, Bakersfield, CA 93301 or any other foundation of your choice.
