Michael Mesa was born November 1, 1973 in Bakersfield, California to Alejandra and Juanita (Martinez) Mesa. Michael attended Wasco elementary schools and Wasco High School. He enjoyed traveling, shopping, barbecues and spending time with family. His occupation was a barber. Michael is survived by his wife, Michelee (Castillo) Mesa; parents, Alex and Juanita Mesa; son, Robert Mesa; daughters, Dynasty, Michaela, and Leah Mesa; brother, Alex Mesa, Jr.; and sister, Sandra Mesa. Funeral services will be held at Peters Funeral Home Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. for Michael Paul Mesa, age 35, of Wasco who passed away January 20, 2009 in Delano. Pastor David Downing of Sounds of Pentecostal Church and Pastor Elias Duarte of Bakersfield Apostolic Church will officiate the service and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park.
