Michael A. Hughes Hardwood Flooring Worker, 69 Michael A. Hughes, a native of Minnesota, a 25-year resident of California and a 16-year resident of Yucca Valley, died of a heart attack at home June 16, 2009. He was 69 years old. He was born to Cloyd Hughes and Charlotte Austin Hughes Jan. 8, 1940. Mr. Hughes is survived by his common-law wife of 14 years, Joan Hughes of Yucca Valley; sons William Clark of Yucca Valley and Jeffery Hughes of Scituate, Mass.; daughters Terri Lorrazio of Morongo Valley and Christina Winn of Scituate, Mass.; brother Dennis Hughes of Harbor City; and six grandchildren. He was employed in the hardwood flooring business for 25 years before retiring.
